Home Makeover

I was very unsure about asking someone to help me with organising my house.  I felt it would be a frustrating process, and that the designer would just push me to buy expensive new stuff.  I was wrong.  Joey was fantastic.  She completely de-cluttered my house, my garage, my clothes, my daughter's clothes.  She has many little organisation ideas that have transformed my kitchen, my terrace, my living areas.  She made great use of my existing furniture instead of buying lots of new stuff.  I feel proud when people come over to my house these days!  I have recommended Joey to all of my friends.

Joey is hard working, easy going person who helped me in many ways. She helped me to re -organized my wardrobe. I needed somebody like her to help me to "get rid of" my old, not very flattering clothes and changed them for new fashionable clothes. She gave me lots of tips about how to dress, combine clothes and gave me my confidence back. Joey also helped me to re-organized my husband's closet. He is a hard working man who doesn't have much time to go shopping. Joey made it very easy for him. She brought clothes for him to try at home.  His look is more fashionable and gets more compliments now. Joey is also great at decorating houses, has great eye for details and very good taste. I also went to a few dinners and lunches that Joey organized and it's been  always a success. The restaurants are always great,    Joey always makes sure that everybody is comfortable and happy. Getting a fashion/style closet make-over was one of the best things I have ever done for my professional  and personal life. 

 

The funny thing is that over the years,  I have spent  thousands of dollars in professional

development seminars to improve my career and business.

And, yet,  I had never really taken the time or invested the effort to “up-level” my clothing and image. However, now I can see how important it is.  I now feel great, when I get dressed and I barely have to think!  

Travelling and packing is 10 x easier as I carry much fewer items, but they all go together and I am loving how I feel when I get dressed.

Joey is creative, stylish, personable and has awesome attention to detail. 

Joey took my Mum on a personal shopping trip to celebrate my  Mum´s 70th birthday. She put Mum at ease immediately and had immediate insight and a great eye, understanding what would make Mum look fabulous. 

The session was a great success as Mum continues to wear her new outfits through the summer and we tell everyone about Joey.

 

I also attended a birthday party organised by Joey. The venue, food, music and ambiance was spot on. Joey had gone the extra mile to make sure every detail was perfect and totally appropriate and was constantly making improvements.

We are very lucky to have had Joey Garr plan and execute our most recent event in Barcelona.  My husband wanted his 50th birthday celebration to take place with our closest friends in Barcelona, at a venue that would offer a view of the most importants monuments of the city.  Right away, Joey knew the hotels in the city with rooftop terraces that would qualify and visited/contacted them.  She narrowed all choices down to one beautiful spot and planned every moment down to the most minute detail.  We arrived to have cocktails on the hotel's newly constructed rooftop terrace (Joey had gone a few days earlier to make sure the venue was ready -- it wasn't, but she made sure that the hotel had it all ready for us in time).  We enjoyed drinks while gazing at the Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, and Mount Tibidabo -- just stunning.  Well done, Joey.  Our friends and we were truly impressed as the photographer (organized by Joey) snapped candids and as the waiters brought around delicious canapes.
We were ushered downstairs to the hotel's stunning rock garden where our table for 20 was surrounded by trees and plants -- we felt like we were in a private oasis in the city.  Joey surprised us with a 3-piece jazz band -- the whole scene couldn't have been more perfect.  Dinner was executed without a flaw, dinner was beautiful and delicious, the service was up to Joey's high standards.  Joey was continually checking in between us and the staff, tweaking all details to make sure the night was perfect.  All in all, it was an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime night orchestrated entirely by Joey Garr.  We could truly enjoy ourselves and the company of our friends because Joey attended to every detail.  Thank you, Joey.  Without hesitation, we recommend Joey Garr and her services to anyone who needs event planning and wants the job to be done perfectly.
